License and agreement
Abroad Days is licensed through Apple's App Store. Your use is governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement, unless App Store Connect shows a different license for your storefront.
Intended use
Abroad Days helps you keep an editable record of days in countries. You can opt in to automatic country-level estimates from iOS location updates or add stays manually. The app shows country totals and a flag calendar. If you choose the optional Schengen Stay limit, it also calculates a rolling 90/180 estimate from your saved history. It is a personal organization and arithmetic tool.
Abroad Days does not provide legal, tax, accounting, immigration, or other professional advice. It does not determine residency, visa status, citizenship eligibility, or compliance.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing countries, arrival dates, departure dates, unknown days, and automatically inferred stays before relying on an output. If you use the Schengen Stay limit, you are also responsible for checking whether the rule applies to you. Rules can change, include exceptions, or depend on facts the app does not know.
Verify consequential decisions against current official guidance and consult a qualified adviser when appropriate.
Product limits
Automatic history is an estimate, not a complete or continuous location record. iOS controls when background updates arrive. Observations can be late, missing, or uncertain near borders, while Location Services or the phone are off, or after you force-quit the app. Review and correct inferred stays and add missing dates manually.
Results are only as accurate as the history you review and save. The app can contain defects, device storage can fail, and software updates can change behavior. Abroad Days is not evidence of presence and is not the sole record to keep when an authority requires documents or proof.
CSV and device storage
CSV imports and exports happen only after you choose them. Exports are plain text; you choose their destination and are responsible for protecting and deleting copies. Standard iPhone backup behavior is controlled by your iOS and iCloud settings. Abroad Days does not provide an account, custom cloud sync, or a custom backup and recovery-key service.

We may update Abroad Days and these terms as the app, law, or platform requirements change. Material updates will be posted on this page.
